Frequently asked questions

Isn't this expensive for a small business?

Compare it to what a missed call costs you. Pro is $797/mo, less than one HVAC repair, one new patient or one retained client for most of our customers, and you can pay yearly to get 2 months free. Use the calculator to plug in your own numbers. If it doesn't capture at least 5 calls you'd have missed in the first 30 days, we refund your first month.

Will it sound like a robot?

It uses a natural-sounding AI voice, and you approve the greeting and script before launch. We don't pretend it's a person: if someone asks, it says it's your virtual assistant. Callers can ask for a human at any time, and urgent calls transfer to your phone.

Is it HIPAA compliant?

For HIPAA-covered practices we use voice infrastructure that signs a Business Associate Agreement, sign our own BAA with you, turn on redaction, and limit the AI to scheduling and general questions. Compliance depends on the whole setup, so we review it with you before launch.

Is there a contract?

No. Front Desk plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice. If you pay yearly you get 2 months free, and you can still cancel for a refund of unused months. Local Growth has a 3-month minimum because local search takes time to move.

What if I go over my minutes?

Extra minutes are a flat $0.25 each, and we alert you at 80% and 100%. If you'd rather never pay overage, choose a hard cap and the AI takes messages and texts callers back instead.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. We usually forward calls from your existing number when nobody answers or after hours. You keep your number either way.

What happens with emergencies?

You decide what counts as an emergency (no heat, an active leak, a new arrest, severe pain). Those calls can transfer live or alert your on-call person by text immediately.

Does it work with my software?

We connect to Google Calendar and common CRMs and job tools. We confirm your exact system on the audit before you pay anything.

Do you only work in Boston?

We're based in Boston and serve businesses across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, and Vermont, with most work done remotely and on-site visits when they help.
